Planning and Piping Design
The lead design engineer of this group coordinates the activities of all phases of detailed design and engineering regarding plot plan, piping routing study and piping design. They are responsible for the plot plan and piping design for various plant components (such as heaters, towers, compressors and specific process and offsite facilities), having good coordination with civil, electrical, instrument, mechanical and other engineers of each specific discipline.
Their priority in the design and engineering lies in safety, operation and maintenance simplicity and economical point of view. The also take into consideration construction capability, battery limit conditions, code requirement, etc.
Piping planning drawings are initiated through the piping study drawing to investigation. The computer also prepares line bill of material and controls the material and controls the material requisitioning and procurement status.
